LSG vs CSK Match Highlights: Lucknow Super Giants Triumph in Thrilling Semi-Final

LSG Emerges Victorious

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) overcame a spirited performance from the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to secure a hard-fought victory in the first semi-final of the ACC Premier P6 League.

The match got off to a blistering start as both teams traded blows in the powerplay overs. LSG openers KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock put on a solid partnership of 50 runs before Rahul was dismissed by Dwayne Bravo for 27. De Kock continued to anchor the innings, scoring a crucial 56 runs off 45 deliveries.

In response, CSK's top order struggled to gain momentum. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway were dismissed cheaply, leaving MS Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu to rebuild the innings. The duo shared a 64-run stand, but Ravindra Jadeja's dismissal for 18 ended their hopes of a substantial total.

Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, CSK managed to post a competitive total of 168/6. Bravo and Chris Jordan played cameos in the final overs to push the score beyond the 160-run mark.

In the chase, LSG lost both openers early, but Evin Lewis steadied the innings with a fluent 35 off 29 balls. Deepak Hooda and Marcus Stoinis then put on a crucial 57-run partnership to lay the foundation for victory.

Stoinis remained unbeaten on 43 off 30 balls, guiding LSG to a thrilling 5-wicket win with 3 balls to spare. The Australian all-rounder was named Man of the Match for his match-winning knock.

With this victory, LSG has booked their place in the final of the ACC Premier P6 League. They will face the winner of the second semi-final between the Gujarat Titans and the Rajasthan Royals on Sunday.
